An exquisite darkwood and ivory longbow, crafted by the Nomen centaurs in ages long past.
A +2 Thundering Composite Longbow (Total Enchantment Value: 3)
+2 Enchantment: +2 bonus on all attack and damage rolls.
Thundering: A thundering weapon creates a cacophonous roar like thunder upon striking a successful critical hit. The sonic energy does not harm the wielder. Skybolt deals an extra 2d8 points of sonic damage on a successful critical hit. Subjects dealt a critical hit by a thundering weapon must make a DC 14 Fortitude save or be deafened permanently.
+4 Composite: This feature allows you to add your STR bonus to damage, up to the maximum indicated for the bow. If your Strength bonus is less than the strength rating of the composite bow, you can’t effectively use it, so you take a –2 penalty on attacks with it.
Darkwood: This rare magic wood is as hard as normal wood but very light. Is considered a masterwork item and weighs only half as much as a normal wooden item of its type.
Skybolt is an ancient enchanted longbow, whose history is tied to a long lost truce between men, centaurs and elves. The bow was found in the possession of a band of Spriggans, which had overrun the town of Varnhold.
